Squash Ireland has graduated another 10 participants from the Introduction to Squash Award course.
Representing the opening level on the Sport Ireland Coaching Development Pathway for Ireland (CDPI), 32 new introductory coaches have now been trained via the new offering since its launch earlier this year.
Saturday’s course with coach developer Jenny Dillon featured participants from In4Squash, Leinster Cricket Club and Curragh SC.
Dave Broderick, the Squash Ireland club and community development manager, said: “It’s really encouraging to see such a strong response to the new coach development pathway offering.
“This brand new Introduction to Coaching Squash award represents the first step on the coaching journey for aspiring coaches.
“It will be a key enabler for clubs providing assistance and facilitation to more senior coaches while they learn the fundamentals of delivering sessions and organising groups of beginner adult and junior squash players.
“My thanks to coach developer Jenny Dillon for another brilliant delivery as we bring this new course to clubs across the country.”
