Squash Ireland is seeking to appoint a Masters Committee Chairperson, who will focus on promoting Masters Squash and delivering the Masters Squash Tour.

Squash Ireland is seeking to appoint a Masters Committee Chairperson, who will focus on promoting Masters Squash and delivering the Masters Squash Tour. This is a pivotal volunteer role that requires an in depth understanding of the Masters squash scene, both domestically and internationally.

The Masters Committee is responsible for the organisation, promotion, and administration of Masters Squash across the island of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities of the Masters Chairperson:

  • Act as Chair of the Masters Committee
  • Foster a culture of volunteerism among committee members and players
  • Make recommendations regarding the Masters calendar and tournament scheduling
  • Coordinate and lead the delivery of Masters tournaments, including the Masters National Championships, Masters Open, and Provincial Masters Tournaments
  • Liaise with counterparts in England, Scotland, and Wales, and coordinate the Masters Home Internationals in collaboration with the Masters Committee
  • Coordinate Masters representative teams, including reviewing selection criteria, selecting teams, and appointing team managers

The Terms of Reference for the Masters Committee will be published following approval by the Squash Ireland Board. It is intended that the Chair of the Masters Committee will receive administrative and logistical support from a soon-to-be-appointed Events & HP Logistics Manager.
